KTAB_ontheroadNo need to sit back and simply watch the news.  KTAB-TV is offering the opportunity to experience it in person, plus a whole lot more.

On July 22nd, KTAB News will take its 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts “On the Road”. Bob Bartlett, Lane Stone, Sam Nichols, and David Robinett will be broadcasting live from Brownwood at the Margaret & Stewart Coleman Plaza near the Depot.  During the show, KTAB will highlight unique aspects and interesting stories about Brownwood. The event will give residents the chance to meet their favourite KTAB personality in person.

The KTAB “On the Road” newscast is just the beginning.  KTAB will also be providing free food (hot dogs and soda), live music, entertainment, games, prizes, pony rides, inflatable attractions, and much more.

Food will be served beginning at 4:30pm, and the festivities will conclude after the 10pm newscast.  Country-rock star Zach Harmon will be the headliner, beginning his performance at 9pm.  Local acts from Brownwood will perform around 7pm.

There will be a variety of entertainment for both kids and adults.  Art projects, face tattoos, obstacle course, jump house, autographs,  pictures with KTAB personalities, karaoke, an “Amazing Race” game, a “Survivor” game, a “Wheel of Fortune” game,  a “Let’s Make a Deal” game, and much more.

KTAB will also be visiting the Big Country towns of Albany, Eastland, Sweetwater, and Anson during the same week.

“I can’t wait to travel all around the Big Country and meet everyone,” said KTAB’s newest anchor, Lane Stone. “Everyone has been so nice since I arrived. This is a great opportunity to personally say thanks for such a warm welcome.”

“We aren’t just bringing the news,” said KTAB General Manager Eric Thomas. “We’re bringing a carnival atmosphere. This is our way to say thanks to some of KTAB’s most loyal viewers.”

Local businesses that want to be involved can contact Saundra Carriker at 325-692-4242.   Check back with bigcountryhomepage.com and KTAB News for frequent updates on the “On the Road” tour.
