Myra Estelle Stearns Haynes passed away peacefully on July 2, 2010. Born November 22, 1913 in Trickham, Texas, the 11th of 13 children to Ma and Pa Stearns. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, loving husband, Clyde Haynes, and devoted son, Kenneth Haynes. She is survived by her grandchildren, Scott & Sally Haynes (College Station, TX), Robin Haynes (New York, NY), and Wes and Susan Haynes (College Station, TX), and great-grandchildren, Garrett  Haynes (College Station, TX) and Benjamin Haynes (New York, NY). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Myra worked in younger years in Brownwood, TX at Brownwood Manufacturing factory and later, was a devoted housewife and mother on the farm in Brookesmith, Texas. She was generous with her heart and would do anything for anyone. Myra not only knew what was going on with everyone in her extended family, but also kept track of friends, their children, and anyone whom she crossed paths with. She was a devoted Christian and demonstrated her faith daily, and in later years through her beloved Sunshine Ministry. Her strong sense of independence and strength will forever be with us.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10th at 10am at Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Trickham Cemetery Association.  The family would like to especially thank Verna May Bolton, Myra’s devoted niece, Oak Ridge Manor and their caring staff, and the many other people who provided Myra with spiritual enrichment and daily joy.

Myra was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Condolences can be eft for the family at www.davismorrisfuneralhome.com
