Ricky Kite

RickyKiteFuneral services for Ricky Kite, age 47, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, at Netherton Funeral Home with Justin Gowin officiating.  Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. at Fiskville Cemetery in Austin.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.   He passed away June 27, at Hendrick Health System in Abilene.

Ricky was born August 8, 1962 in Georgetown, Texas, the son of the late William and Helen (Mouser) Kite.  He was a Baptist and lived most of his life in Brownwood after moving from Austin.  Ricky was a roofer with Smith Roofing Company for many years.

Survivors include his children, Crystal Star and Eliseo Griego of Hillsboro, Brittney Nichoal Denise Kite of Cedar Park and Rebecca Anne Marie Kite of Cedar Park; companion Rosella Little of Brownwood; step-children, Mark Little of Brownwood, James Little of Brownwood, Charles Little, Jr. of Brownwood, Tonya Manchester of Brownwood, Michelle Little of Brownwood and Katherine Little of Brownwood; four grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; brothers, Joe William Kite of Michigan, Walter Kite and wife, Donnie, of Leander, Cecil Kite of Brownwood, and Freddie Kite of Brownwood; sisters, Janice Smith and husband, Nolan of Milano, Diane Kite Hopkins of Kansas, Sara Mae Lutz and husband, Jerry, of Florida; Mozelle Sims of Rockdale, Nona Acevedo of Childress and Serena Allen and husband, Jerry of Brownwood; brother-in-law, Bill Johns and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Charles Kite, Jr. and Patrick Charles Kite and two sisters, Martha Loise Johns and Brenda Kite.
