4th of July Fireworks, Fun & Festivities Around Brownwood

FireworksIndependence Day Weekend will be full of fun things to enjoy and celebrate.  Gather up your friends and family and enjoy what Brownwood and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Below is a schedule of the weekend activities.

July 3rd

10:00am-4:00pm Family Day at the Lehnis Railroad Museum. The first Saturday of every month is Family Day at the Lehnis Railroad Museum!  The museum will present a special interpretive program at 11:00 a.m.  The first program will be a tour of the caboose, plus the Lehnis Heart of Texas Model Railroad Club will be working on the new permanent model railroad layout and will be available for questions.

Sundown Fireworks Display – Bitter Bay Lake Brownwood, in Deep Water Estates, across the water from the Southern part of the State Park. This firework show will be Viewable from water.  Show is sponsored by Venable’s Construction and Hook & Anchor Marine & Water Sports.

8:30pm 6th Annual Heart of Texas Freedom Celebration Free Fireworks Show – Bangs High School Memorial Stadium.  The show is presented by the City of Bangs and the Bangs Municipal Development District.  There will be a concert featuring Bangs’ own Kerry Freeman and a huge fireworks show (by Mike Wozniak) with their biggest finale ever that’s 50 yards long!  Huge fireball explosions, fountains and special effects will be a part of the show.  (Interested vendors please call 325-998-6197).

July 4th

Sundown Fireworks Display at Flat Rock Park ($3 entry to the park).
