Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, June 24, 2010

Wednesday June 9

*An iPod Touch was found at Coggin Park and turned into Brownwood Police Department.  According to the report, BPD contacted Apple to locate the registered owner.  Apple has contacted the original owner.  The iPod is being held at BPD as found property.

Sunday, June 20

*Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary of a habitation on Waterford Drive.  According to the report, a pair of custom made Elk hide chaps, a pair of spurs, a canvas vest and other items were stolen from the residence.

Tuesday June 22

*Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary of a building on Lakeshore Dr.  According to the report, a neighbor had interrupted the burglary.  “A full size white van with a faint blue stripe along the bottom and a nearly flat back tire” was given as a suspect vehicle description.  The van was unable to be located.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report and the investigation was ongoing.

Wednesday June 23

*Approximately 6:00 pm, Brownwood Police Department responded to a call regarding an assault in the 200 block of Bluffview Drive.  According to the report, the offense of burglary of a habitation, with intent to commit other felony was being investigated and was ongoing at the time of the report.

*At 11:10 am Brownwood Police were called to Brownwood Middle School regarding two juveniles fighting.  Each of the juveniles were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct-Fighting and released to their respective guardians according to the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraudulent use of Identifying Information.  According to the report, the victim had joined the Air Force in October of 2007 and a recruiting officer had opened a bank account in her name without her consent.  She had reportedly closed the account but continues to get notices of purchases being made on the account.

Thursday June 24

*Brownwood Police Department arrested 30-year-old Ryan John Myers for Public Intoxication.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
