A Friday morning parade kicked off the Brownwood Juneteenth Celebration weekend.

The Parade Grand Marshal, Rev. James Hogan, led the route followed by parade participants riding in hot rods provided by the Heartland Cruisers and ending with trucks from the Brownwood Fire Department.

The Brownwood Juneteenth celebration takes place Friday & Saturday and will feature games, talent shows, music in the park, a car show, carnival, inflatables, and much more.

All of the fun will happen at Cecil Holman Park at 1100 Hall Street and the Bennie Houston Community Center at 505 Cordell. Visit the
