ChildrensCampLogoThere is still space available for both younger and older kids at the 2010 Children’s Theatre Camp sponsored by the Lyric Performing Arts Company.

The Lyric Performing Arts Company will hold its annual Theatre Camp on June 7-18, 2010.

During the camp, children will be taught basic components of the theatre such as principles of the stage and drama.  Participants will also learn about technical aspects of the theatre:  sound, light and projection aspects of the stage.

Groups will do readings, work with puppets, and participate in a play.  Performances of these plays will be at the end of the two week camp.

Classes are divided by appropriate age groups, such as students finishing 1st-4th grades and 5th grade and above.  There is a limit on class size, so timely registration is encouraged.

Cost for the camp is $150.  Those interested can download forms for the camp at www.brownwoodlyrictheatre.com and bring them by 1219 Indian Creek Drive (Southside Church) to secure a spot.
