The Early Lady Horns softball team lost game 1 of their Region 1-2A final series to Alpine Thursday night with a final score of 1-0.

Alpine scored their game winning 1 run in the second inning off of a pair of errors by the Early girls.  The Lady Horns had five hits, but were unable to get their runners across the plate.  This loss drops Early to a 28-3 record on the season.

The Lady Horns may be down, but definitely are not out as they look to game 2 & 3 this Saturday in Abilene.  Game two is scheduled to start at 10am at Abilene Christian’s Wells Field with game 3 to follow if necessary.

The winner of this series will go on to play either Harleton or Kildare for the state 2A title in the tournament June 3-5.
