Ribs and live music, life doesn’t get much better than that. The Lone Star Ribfest & Old Time Fiddling Contest gets underway at Heartland Mall this weekend and you don’t want to miss this year’s festivities.
Activities include a tribute to the American Flag display, Miss Heartland Pageant, Old Time Fiddlers Contest, Children’s Area, United Free Style Stunt Team, Specialty Vendors, and much, much more! The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club will also be selling delicious BBQ sandwiches on Saturday.
It all kicks off Friday at 5pm when the rib cook-off begins. Judging will be throughout the day on Saturday with awards being presented around 3pm.
Saturday, May 29th will be a packed day with the Miss Heartland Pageant taking place from10am – noon and the Old Time Fiddlers Contest noon – 5pm.
