Law Enforcement reports and arrests released Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Tuesday, May 25th

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Francisco Abelardo Escobedo and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon & Public Intoxication.  Police reports state that Escobedo was found on Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Center employee parking lot on Tuesday and told Brownwood Police Sgt. Art Shannon that he has shot someone.  The suspect was taken into custody and officers determined that he was intoxicated possibly by methamphetamine the report states.  Officers investigated the scene that Escobedo stated the shooting took place, but no victim or other evidence was found of a shooting.  The police report states that officer found a shotgun in the suspects truck and took it into evidence.

*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Curtis Lee Lawson on charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence.

*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Amanda Gail McGinnis on charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Charles Michael Tidwell on charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury – Family Violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s office is investigating a report of a possible stolen check book and forged checks being written out of it.  The complainant reports that 16 checks were written by someone from the closed checking account.

Wednesday, May 26th

*Bangs Police arrested 23-year-old Mario Favila-Garcia on a Border Patrol Charge

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
