Bert died Monday, May 24, 2010 at his home.

William Bert Kinsey was born on August 17, 1946 in Glen Cove to William F. and Lola Miller Kinsey.  Bert grew up in Coleman County and was the youngest of his siblings.  He attended Harmony Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized at an early age.  He attended school at Mozelle, where he played football and basketball.  His senior year, he was voted “Class Favorite” and “Mr. Football.”  He attended San Angelo State for one year before he joined the working world.  He married Lena Modell Simmons Craddock on March 10, 1972.  He was a caring father to her six children.  Together Bert and Modell had four daughters.  Bert worked very hard, long hours to support his large family.  He worked for Gandy’s Dairy for over thirty years.  He then worked for Superior Essex until his death.  He enjoyed hard work, but also enjoyed time off with his family.  He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and a great friend to many.  He will be greatly missed.

Bert is survived by a brother, Don Kinsey and wife Thelia, two sisters, Tye Stotts and husband Dean and Nelda Gillihan, his children and step-children, Melissa Steelman and husband Terry, Karen Lyon, Kathy Davis and husband John, Crystie Lishka and husband Terry, Neal Craddock, Gary Craddock, Sherry French, Randy Craddock and wife Lisa, Mary Idaho, Danny Craddock and wife Marisa, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, his dear friend and mother of his children, Lena M. Kinsey, and his very best friend, Troy Holleman.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walton Kinsey, a sister, Mary Beth Swanson and a niece, Lynn Castelon.
