Dr. Allen Reed, professor of music, enjoys the new organ that was delivered on May 19 in Howard Payne University’s Mims Auditorium.

The organ was donated by Dr. and Mrs. Burton Patterson, of Southlake. Originally installed in the El Paso Symphony Hall approximately 30 years ago, the instrument was once the world’s largest analog electronic organ. After a complete refurbishment, it is now one of the finest all-digital organs in the area.

The couple also donated a new organ for Grace Chapel in the Paul and Jane Meyer Faith and Life Leadership Center.
