Flash flood watch is in effect through Saturday morning.  The National Weather Service in San Angelo has expanded the flash flood watch to include a portion of West Central Texas including the following counties:  Brown, Coke, Coleman, Fisher, Nolan, Runnels and Sterling.

The Flood Watch is extended through Saturday morning.  Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are possible this afternoon and tonight. The locally heavy rainfall may cause flooding of low water crossings, city streets, and other low lying flood prone areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.

Heavy rainfall possible across the Big Country, The Northern Concho Valley and the Northern Heartland this afternoon and tonight.

Gulf moisture will continue to over run a stalled frontal boundary. This will produce scattered thunderstorms with local heavy rainfall across the Big Country.  The Northern Concho Valley and the Northern Heartland through tonight. Soils are already saturated from the thunderstorms on Thursday.
