District Court Sentences 14 in Felony Cases

Several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis, presiding, according to District Attorney Micheal Murray.

  • Charles David Harlan, pled guilty to the felony offense Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to Twelve (12) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Clay Legget Russell, pled guilty to the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to Eleven (11) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Candi Nicole Squyres, plead no contest to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Eleven (11) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Squyres, pled no contest to the felony offense to Possession of a Controlled Substance and was on probation for the felony offense of Forgery and was adjudicated and sentenced to Six (6) Months, Texas Department of Justice, State Jail Division in each case.
  • Susan Murr, pled no contest to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Ten (10) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Shawntia Marie Moore, pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Moore also on probation for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone was revoked and sentenced to Eight (8) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
  • Clois Daniel Jackson, on probation for the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Jessica Ann Perkins, on probation for the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Perkins on probation for the state jail felony offense of Abandoning or Endangering a Child was revoked and sentenced to One (1) Year, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Jerry Lyman Stewart, II, on probation for the felony offense of Assault Family Violence-Enhanced was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Christina Beronica Gomez, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Gomez, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Twelve (12) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Ronnie Cervantes Lara, pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to Four (4) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Lara, on probation for the felony offense of Evading Arrest was revoked and sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Nathan Andrew Glantzer, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
  • Uriel Stephen Ramirez, on probation for the felony offenses of Endangering a Child and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver was revoked and sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division in each case.
  • Rue Lee Terpening, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substanceand was sentenced to Nine (9) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
  • Donald Wayne Croft, plead guilty to the felony offense of Indecency with a Child by Contact and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
