WillisBassham

Willis Lee Bassham, 80, of Blanket, went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on May 2, 2010.  Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Rock Church Cemetery, Jim Looby officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Willis was born January 12, 1930 in Colorado City, Tx to Phineas M. Bassham and Myrtle L. Robinson Bassham.  Anyone who ever met Willis liked this kind and gentle man.  He served in the Korean War as a U.S. Army soldier.  He was a member of Blanket First Baptist Church.  Willis married Viola Bullard and she preceded him in death.  He married Faye Bundick on January 1, 2006.

Willis is survived by his wife Faye of Blanket, his sons Wil Bassham and wife Moriah of McKinney, TX, Tracy Wright of Claremore, Ok, Virgil Wright of FL., Thomas Wright of MI.,  Jerry Sigler and wife Karin of Overton, TX, Rodney Sigler and wife Monica of College Station, TX, and Royce Sigler and wife Daley of McKinney, TX, his daughters; Linda Wanger of Corpus Christi, TX, Carrie Hicks of Wylie, TX, Mary Bookout of Alabama, Virginia Sigler of Blanket, Tx and Melinda Parsons and husband Crag of Union Grove, TX.  He is also survived by his brother Joe Hill and wife Betty of Blanket, a sister Maxine Key of Colorado City, TX, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
