The Brownwood Lions baseball team and the Lady Lions softball each continued their winning streaks with wins on Friday night at home.
The Lions played Abilene Cooper downing them 6-5. This takes the Lions to a 20-7-1 record on the season. The District 2-3A champion Lions will face 2A Troy on Wednesday. Baseball playoffs begin in two weeks.
The Lady Lions softball team also had success in a playoff warm-up game against Coleman Friday night. The Lady Lions won 7-4 logging in their 12th straight victory. The District 2-3A champions will play their first playoff game in the Area round on May 8th.
