Everyday Heroes Dinner to be Held Thursday – Tickets Still Available

redcrosseverydayheroThe Pecan Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross will host their Everyday Heroes Dinner on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Mabee Center at Howard Payne University.  The event will begin at 6pm and the guest speaker will be Roy Spence.

Heroes were nominated and a committee selected the recipients to receive awards for the event. Tickets are available through the Red Cross office by calling 325-646-0196 and will also be available at the door.  $35 each or 2 for $60 and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Heroes who were nominated live or work in the Brown, Mills, McCulloch and San Saba County areas.  Award recipients are from 6 categories that include Fire, Law Enforcement, Military Support, Medical Response, Educator and a Youth Hero (18 and under).

Sponsors for the Event are: Texas Bank, Porter Insurance, Mills County State Bank, Early First Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Brownwood, Early Blooms ‘N more, Peter and Evelyn Romig, and the Bill Blagg family.

Guest speaker Roy Spence has been named Ad Man of the Year and Idea Man of the Century and has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report, Esquire, Fast Company, INC. and FORTUNE for his perspectives on advertising, marketing and finding and fulfilling an organization’s purpose. A popular keynote speaker, he regularly addresses audiences from throughout the business, government and nonprofit communities.
