The Howard Payne men’s tennis team improved to 4-0 in conference play with an 8-1 win over Texas Lutheran University at the Nabors Tennis Center Friday afternoon. 

The Jackets started the match be taking all three doubles matches. Howard Payne only dropped the #1 singles the rest of the match for the 8-1 win over Texas Lutheran. 

“Our men continued again with strong play,” said head coach Sally Brown. “We were guarding against a let down after a big win last week over HSU and the men responded well with a decisive win against a respectable team. They have practiced hard this week and played well.” 

Howard Payne improves to 3-8 overall and 2-2 in conference play while Texas Lutheran falls to 0-9 overall and 0-5 in ASC play.
