43-year-old Cass Brown and his 38-year-old wife Kylie Brown were found guilty in 35th District Court Monday for continuous sexual abuse of a child or children. The jury deliberated for less than 20 minutes in the case before they announced their verdict.
The Browns were then sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The trial of the couple began last Monday and the state rested its case on Thursday. The Browns were on trial for the continuous sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl and her younger brother.
The presiding judge in the case ruled last Wednesday that the Brown’s bonds were deficient, and ordered them held in Brown County Jail.
