HPUFest2010LogoHPU Fest, a free all-day Christian concert, will be held at Howard Payne University on Saturday, April 10. This year, two fully-produced stages will provide the audience with a continuous flow of music from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Both stages will be located in Old Main Park on the HPU campus. The Blue Stage will be set-up beside Mims Auditorium and the Gold Stage will be positioned by the H-pond.

Performers on the Blue Stage include Chronic Frailty at 3:00 p.m., Miranda Dodson at 4:00 p.m., the Justin Cofield Band at 5:15 p.m., Ben Rector at 6:45 p.m., Jason Gray at 8:15 p.m., Echoing Angels at 8:45 p.m. and headliner Jimmy Needham 10:00 p.m.

The Gold Stage will feature local artists and student musicians including Rise to the Challenge at 3:30 p.m., Vinyl Club Radio at 4:45 p.m., Katie Curry at 6:15 p.m. and One Less Stone at 7:45 p.m.

During the day, there will also be a chili cook-off, 75-foot inflatable obstacle course sponsored by Brownwood Regional Medical Center, car wash, paintball booth, refreshments, vendor booths and artists’ merchandise for sale.

HPU Fest will be held in conjunction with Stinger Daze, a one-day event providing prospective students with the opportunity to experience student life on campus while interacting with current students, faculty and staff.  Admitted students for the Fall 2010 semester will also have the opportunity to meet their advisors and register early for classes.
