Our friends at KTAB recently had a chance to speak with the man whose son, Jeffery Harrison, was accused of plotting a murder for hire scheme to kill Brownwood’s own District Judge Steve Ellis.

Katherine Lane reported:

“His son was recently taken into federal custody for attempted murder for hire of the Brown county judge. Now Alton Harrison is speaking out about it.

Alton and Ann Harrison found out about their son’s federal offense like everyone else–on the news. 50-year-old Jeffrey Harrison was investigated for a month about a murder for hire hit he made on Brown county judge Steve Ellis. Little did he know, the man he hired to kill Judge Ellis was an undercover agent.

Alton Harrison said he has not received any information regarding his son’s arrest, not even where he was taken after being put in federal custody.

At this time, Harrison is in federal custody in Tom Green county.”
