On Friday night, Brownwood police were called in regards to a fight at Tequila Nights Club.  Dispatch reported that a man had hit another with a beer bottle and then fled the scene.

Police arrived and soon located the suspect, 25-year-old Domonic Mitchell outside of the club. Mitchell then stated that the victim accused him of “hitting on his wife”, which Mitchell denied, stating that he had women of his own with him.  The three women with Mitchell stated that they saw the victim shove Mitchell.

In speaking with the victim and his wife, police learned that Mitchell had come into the club and was “grabbing women…”.  Police reports state that when Mitchell grabbed the victim’s wife, the victim got angry and told him to leave his wife alone.  According to the victim, Mitchell then hit him in the mouth with a beer bottle, which severely lacerated his lip.  Two witnesses verified the victim’s account of the incident according to police reports.

Tequila Nights staff indicated that they did wish for a criminal trespass warning to be issued to Mitchell.  Mitchell was then arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and for two outstanding warrants for his arrest in Brownwood.

The victim was then taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment.

In another report, the victim in this incident was later issued a Citation for Disorderly Conduct for using profane and abusive language toward the Emergency Room staff while receiving treatment.  The victim was intoxicated according to the report.

In other unrelated reports:

*On Friday evening, police responded, in three separate calls, to two vehicles being sprayed with gold spray paint and another vehicle that was burglarized in the 300 block of Bluffview.

*Police responded to a burglary of a habitation in the 400 block of Whaley on Friday afternoon and another in the 1200 block of 16th Street Saturday night.

*Friday about 3:30pm, police were called to the 600 block of Walnut in regards to the burglary of a storage building.
