Leon (Lon) Cowan, age 68, of Brownwood, Texas passed away March 5, 2010 at the Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Delton Leon Cowan was born on December 19, 1941 in Mercury, Texas to Seldon and Lola Mae Lloyd Cowan.  A lifetime resident of San Saba and Brown County he was a farmer and had attended Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include:

Sons:   Delton Cowan of Brownwood, Texas; Colt Cowan and wife Shelby of Early, Texas

Grandchildren:  Mason and Case Cowan of Early, Texas

Brother:  Bob Cowan and wife Lucille of Jacksboro, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Orvil Cowan.
