freeenterpirsehonoreeEarly Beginnings Learning Center was named Free Enterprise Honoree in the Dream Big Small Business of the year award hosted by the United States Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by Sam’s Club.

Early Beginnings Learning Center’s owner/director Shirley Stovall received notification on March 1st that the center received Honoree status that stated the judge’s panel was impressed with the company’s accomplishments in staff training, community involvement, and customer service, just to name a few.

The award will be listed in the March issue of Free Enterprise magazine.  This honor is posted on the US Chamber’s website at http://www.uschambersummit.com/award.

“With hundreds of entries from across the United States from companies, it is a great honor that the judges were impressed with the business practices of a small childcare center in central Texas and put us in the top 100 of all the entries,” Stovall said.  “My priority has always been that we would not only meet, but also exceed all rules, guidelines, and expectations of the state and parents.”

The contest was open to companies that had less than 250 employees and less than $20 million in annual sales in 2008. The Awards program is designed to honor the nation’s job creators and recognize their significant contributions as drivers of economic growth.

Shirley Stovall purchased Early Beginnings Learning Center in 2006.  Early Beginnings Learning Center is a full service childcare center, that is focused on the whole family; and operates with the goal of providing parents with 100% peace of mind about the care of their children, while providing children a loving, caring environment which is rich with learning opportunities that engage the whole child.
