Texas Parks & Wildlife Deparment's Weekly Fishing Report

TexasParksandwildlifelogoBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 51 degrees; 6.71′ low. Black bass to 5 pounds are fair on Hot Tomato Bass Hog spinnerbaits, Brownwood craw jigs, black/blue Bass Hogg jigs, perch and craw colored RJA Custom crankbaits, and chrome/blue Rat–L–Traps along the shorelines in 3 – 5 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are excellent on Li’l Fishies, Rat–L–Traps, and shad crankbaits. Crappie are fair on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs over brush piles in 5 – 22 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water murky; 47 degrees; 8.63′ low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are good on silver and chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Proctor

Water murky; 47 degrees; 2.97′ low. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad in 20 – 25 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
