Brownwood Lions JV Baseball Lose 1, Win 1 At Moody Varsity Tournament

brownwoodlionslogoBrownwood Lions JV Baseball participated in the Moody Varsity Tournament Saturday, February 27. 

Game 1 was played at 10:00 am against Rio Vista Varsity.  The first inning Rio Vista scored one run.  Second inning the Lions allowed Rio Vista another 2 scores.  The third inning the Lions held Rio Vista to only one run.  The fourth inning was scoreless and the fifth inning Rio Vista scored eight runs.  The final score was Rio Vista Varsity 12, Brownwood JV Lions 0.

Brownwood JV Pitching Stats:
1. Zac Coppic – 4.1 Innings / 9 Runs / 8 Hits / 6 Walks / 3 Strikeouts  – (LOSS) (0-1)
2. Nic Rosato – 0 Innings / 3 Runs / 0 Hits / 3 Walks  / 0 Strikeouts
3 Irish Cooper – 0.2 Innings / 0 Runs / 2 Hits / 0 Walks / 2 Strikeouts

Brownwood JV Offensive Standouts:
1. Cameron Deal – 1 for 2 (1 Single / 1 Stolen Base)
2. Bryant McDaniel – 1 for 2 (Single)

Game 2 was played at 3:00 pm against Moody Varity.  The first inning Moody scored one run.  The second inning was scoreless.  The Lions came back strong with 4 runs in the third inning and 2 more in the fourth inning. The fifth and sixth innings were scoreless.  Final score was Brownwood Lions JV 13, Moody Varsity 1.
