It was a good night for area high school basketball teams as many of the games went well for the local teams.

The Brownwood Lions defeated Levelland on Wednesday night with a final score 58-57 in the Region I-3A Bi-district playoff round.  The Lions will move on to face Seminole on Friday in the Region I-3A Area round in Merkle.

The Early Lady Longhorns defeated the Bangs Lady Dragons in their regional quarterfinal match-up on Wednesday with a final score of 50-43.  The Lady Longhorns now advance to the Region I-2A semifinals at Midland College to face Idalou at 6 p.m. Friday.
