BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne women’s tennis team dropped their team season opener to Austin College 9-0 at the Nabors Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
Howard Payne started the match down 2-0 due to the injury and fell 9-0 to Austin College. Carlee Ammons was out with an jury, but should return to action after spring break.
Howard Payne is now 0-1 on the year and Austin College stands at 1-0. The Lady Jackets will play next Friday in Longview against LeTourneau University then later in the day in Tyler versus the University of Texas at Tyler.
