BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne men’s tennis team won their season opener in a 9-0 romp of Austin College at the Nabors Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
Austin College was missing a player but it would not have made a difference as the Yellow Jackets hand a 9-0 loss to Austin College to open the 2010 team season.
The Jackets stand at 1-0 on the year while Austin College falls to 0-1 the start the year, HPU will play next Friday in Longview against LeTourneau University then later in the day in Tyler versus the University of Texas at Tyler.
