Donna Marie Nichols Lockett, age 54 of Brownwood passed away January 29, 2010 in an Abilene Hospital.  A Lifetime resident of Brown County she was born December 10, 1955 in Brownwood to Roland and Mary Nichols.   Growing up in Brown County Donna attended both Brownwood and Early Schools.

After retiring from 3M Company after 25 years of service Donna owned and operated The Screen Shop here in Brownwood.  Donna also served on the Board of Directors for the Brown County Youth Fair and Rodeo, where she spent many countless hours volunteering for the youth of Brown County and surrounding counties.

She is survived by her husband Kenny Lockett of Brownwood, Her son Ray Ketcham of Dallas, step son Tres Lockett and wife Jill of Wisconsin, 3 grandchildren Morgan and Madyline Ketcham and K.J. Lockett, her parents Roland and Mary Nichols of Early,  3 sisters Patsy Biggs and husband Bill of Temple, Paula Young of Early, and Susan Nix of Lake Whitney, 2 brothers Larry Nichols and wife Kay of Kerrville, and Stephen Nichols and Jana Quick of Brownwood, Donna is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. February 6, 2010 in the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be private at a later date.  The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in her name to The Brown County Youth Fair and Rodeo Association at P.O.
