Eloise Burnett Hopper

EHopperFuneral services for Eloise Burnett Hopper, 87, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 30, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Pate officiating.

Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, January 29, at the funeral Home.

Mrs. Hopper passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at a local nursing facility in Brownwood.

Eloise Burnett was born on April 18, 1922, in May Texas, a daughter of Edgar and Viva Le Master Burnett.  She was a member of the May First Baptist Church, the Early Lions Club and had been a lifetime resident of the May and Brownwood area.

She is survived by two sisters, Coszett Oaks  and Inez Franklin and husband, J.L., both of May; three brothers, Edward Burnett and wife Karen, of Roswell New Mexico, Ira Lee Burnett and wife Cynthia, of Waco and Jerry Burnett and wife Alberta, of  May; nephew David Hopper of Bangs; brother-in-law, John Hopper of Bangs and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton V. Hopper; parents, Edgar Burnett and Viva Le Master Burnett; sisters, Ava Nel Stewart and Lavonne Burnett; and brothers, Morris Burnett and Howard Burnett.
