Vivian Belvin George

Mrs. Vivian Belvin Valle’ George, age 98, a longtime resident of Zephyr, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 18, 1911 in Grosvenor, Texas, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Minnie Eva Killingsworth Belvin. She graduated from Zephyr High School in 1929 and attended nursing school in Fort Worth where she received her LVN license. She married Louis Valle’ in 1932 and raised three children in the Rio Grande Valley. She married her second husband, Kenneth George in 1962 and returned to Zephyr shortly after. She worked as a nurse for many years and loved to garden.

Funeral services for Mrs. George will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 9, at the Zephyr United Methodist Church with Bro. Steve Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Zephyr Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and a son, Louis Valle.

She is survived by a son, Edwin Valle and a daughter Adele White both of California
