zazoomHave you been stressing over teaching your teenager to drive?  Stress no more.  A new driver’s education school has recently opened in Brownwood servicing all schools in Brown County and the surrounding areas.

Directors Johna Elliott and Charlotte Tucker saw the need for drivers education classes in this area, seeing as how most high schools have taken drivers ed from their curriculum.  For some parents, teaching driver’s education to their child is very hard and stressful, and there are many time constraints due to their job or the child’s school schedule.  Zazoom has two times available to make it convenient for the students and their parents.  Zazoom offers a 4:30-6:30 class and a 6:30 – 8:30 class during the week.  Since opening their doors in October they have had 75 students enrolled in their drivers ed classes.

The students from all areas high schools have had 32 hours of intense classroom training in Texas road laws, signs and signals, distracted driving, road rage, space management, alcohol and drug awareness and much more.  Along with their 32 hours of instructional classroom time, they are also required to have seven hours in car driving instruction and seven hours in car observation.  Texas state law as of May 1, 2010 will require parents to log 20 hours of drive time with their children that are going through drivers ed.  Zazoom has already implemented that procedure. The more the students drive, the more comfortable they begin to feel with their driving skills and critical driving decisions.  Tuition for drivers’ education is $340, but payments can be made in installments.

Zazoom starts a new class at the beginning of each month. The class will run for 16 days.  All information regarding their driver’s education classes and their defensive driving classes can be found at www.zazoom.net
