Ring in the New Year with a 5K Run Benefit

BigBrothersBigSisterslogoBrownwood Fitness Center and The Loop Running Club are sponsoring a New Year’s Eve 5K run to benefit the Brown County Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.

Registration for the first ever Beat the Clock 5K Charity Run will take place Thursday, December 31st at 10pm in Fabis Park.  The run will begin at 11:30pm with awards to be handed out following the race and into the New Year.

Awards will be given to the top male and female overall, as well as to the top male and female in the following age groups:  11 and under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

Registration forms can be picked up at Brownwood Fitness Center at 104 Center Ave.  Pre-registration is $15 if received by noon Wednesday, Dec. 30.  The fee will be $20 on race day.

Water and snacks will be provided to participants after the race.  Runners are encouraged to be prepared for cold or wet weather.  No make-up date or refunds of the race fee are available since fees benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Registrations forms and payment should be returned to Brownwood Fitness Center and marked “Attn: 5k Audry Anderson”
