The 2009 Class 3A All-State high school football team, released Tuesday, as voted on by The Associated Press Sports Editors based on regular-season performance.

Brownwood Lion Derek Longoria was selected as first team punter.  Longoria is a junior and had a 41.8 yards average on 32 punts with the long of 55 yards and 11 of them inside 20.

Brownwood’s Joseph Henry also made the list as defensive honorable mention.
