The Early Police Department responded to a theft call at Scott’s Western Wear on Highway 183 north in Early. When Officers arrived the store’s owner and employees stated a Hispanic female had came into the store carrying a large brown bag. The store owner began to be suspicious and watched her as she took a pair of Ariate Chocolate brown size 7 boots and put them in the bag. The female then headed for the door. The store owner tried to stop the suspect who pushed her way by the owner while trying to get away. A store employee tried to grab the boots from the car when the suspect then began to drive away just missing the store employee.  The owner told the store employee to get back and not get hurt. It was later discovered on video the female took  another pair of children’s boots. There was also a Hispanic male waiting in the car, early 30s and had a burr haircut.

The suspect is described as a short Hispanic female, heavy build with long dark hair and a stud nose piercing. The suspect vehicle was an older possibly 90s model white Cadillac with silver rims and tinted windows. The last 3 numbers on the license plate was 669. The suspect could be facing charges of Robbery and assault with a motor vehicle.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call the Early Police Department at 325-646-5322 or the Brown County Crime Stoppers at 325-646-TIPS (8477).
