Basketball: Lady Lions Take Second Place in Clyde Tournament

brownwoodlionslogoThe Brownwood Lions and Lady Lions both participated in the Clyde Lions Club Basketball Tournament this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Clyde.

The Lady Lions took second place in their tournament dropping their last game on Saturday against Ballinger while the Lions captured fourth place as they lost their last game against Comanche on Saturday.

The results of the games are as follows.

Brownwood Lions

Thursday

Brownwood 58, Colorado City 56

Brownwood Scorers — Brown 18, Barnes 14, Jefferson 9,  Ballejo 7,  Longoria 6, Cotton 4

Friday

Clyde 65, Brownwood 43

Brownwood Scorers — Longoria 10,  Brown 10,  Barnes 9, Ballejo 4, Jefferson 7, Cotton 1, Lang 2

Saturday

Comanche 63, Brownwood 54

Brownwood Scorers – Jefferson 19, Barnes 17, Longoria 9, Brown 5, Ballejo 4

 

Brownwood Lady Lions

Thursday

Brownwood 55, Lubbock Estacado 42

Brownwood  Scorers — Wilson 16, Anson 16, Mask 11,  Gober 4, Gober 4, Byrd 2, Maxwell 2

Friday

Brownwood 36, Clyde 35

Brownwood Scorers — Wilson 20, Ansons 5, Darden 5, Gober 3, Gober 2, Byrd 1

Saturday – Championship Game

Ballinger 49, Brownwood 42
