The following information was compiled from Brownwood Police Department reports and Brown County jail records.  All cases are unrelated.

Possession of Controlled Substance Charges

While making an arrest for an outstanding warrant in the 1500 block of Terrace Wednesday afternoon, Brownwood police found several pills on their female subject that led to more charges.

Robin Gene Brady, 25, of Bangs, was arrested on the warrant and two counts of possession of a controlled substance according to Brown County jail records.

Reports indicate that police found 18 Hydrocodone pills and 2 Darvocet pills for which Brady did not have a prescription.  She was taken to Brown County Jail.

Two Charged with Burglary of Vehicle

-Police were called regarding a possible burglary of a vehicle in the 2100 block of Southside Wednesday night.   As police were en route to the location, they observed 2 male subjects who matched the caller’s description walking on Avenue K.

Witnesses and evidence found on the men led to their arrest according to police reports.  18-year-old Joseph Ray Burns and 20-year-old Issac Kennedy were arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle.

Running From Police

-Early Thursday morning, Brownwood police were called to the 1800 block of 4th St by a home owner wanting a man to leave his property.  Police arrived and observed Seaver Ray Roper, Jr, 20, of Brownwood, on the property.  Police reports state that Roper ran from police when he was given an order to show his hands.   Officer Brandon Miller gave chase and attempted to stop the subject with his TASER which was ineffective according to reports.

Police say that Roper tripped and fell in a mud puddle during the chase.  Soon after, officer Miller apprehended Roper and arrested him for evading arrest and public intoxication.
