The Brownwood Brigade basketball team from the Texas Professional Basketball League played their first game on Sunday afternoon in an exhibition match-up against the San Angelo Chaparrals.
The teams seemed to be a pretty even match with a back-and-forth game most of the way through, but Brownwood came out on top with a final score of 111-108.
The energy and intensity of the players were evident with some very physical play and lots of “smack-talk” throughout the game which made the event very entertaining.
The crowd that assembled was very much into the game with several vocal fans from both teams energizing the spectators.
The official season for the TPBL begins on January 8th with the Brigade facing the Chaparrals on January 9th again in regular season play.
