3M Provides Grant to Heart of Texas Christian Women’s Job Corp

3MCWJCcheckThe 3M Foundation has donated $250 to The Heart of Texas Christian Job Corp (CWJC), in recognition of Mette Anne Lundsgaard’s commitment to the community and for her outstanding service.

Mette Lundsgaard has donated more than 25 hours to CWJC in 2009.  As a volunteer, she has tutored math to women working on life skills.

“3M employees and retirees donate many thousands of hours to their communities each year, “ said Alex Cirillo, vice-president, 3M Community Affairs.  “We are pleased to recognize and support their commitment to helping others.”

As a part of the 3M Volunteer Match, the 3M Foundation will donate $250 to eligible non-profit organizations for which a 3M  employee or retiree volunteers 25 hours or more per calendar year.  For more information on this program, please contact 3M Community Affairs at 651-733-0144 3M Community Giving consists of product donations and cash grants by 3M and 3M Foundation and bolstered by employee and retiree volunteerism.  Since 2000, Volunteer Matches totaling over $2.6 million have gone to over 2,400 schools or non-profit organizations in 50 states plus the District of Columbia.
