fishingFishing reports for Lake Brownwood, Lake Coleman, and Lake Proctor for 12/2/09

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 59 degrees; 7.57′ low. Black bass are good on Grande Bass Rattle Snakes, 3/8oz. Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, craw colored 5/16oz. jigs, and craw colored crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies, minnows, and shad colored crankbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs over brush piles in 6 – 15 feet and under lights at night. Channel catfish are excellent on over baited holes in 5 – 15 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 65 degrees; 10.29′ low. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are good on live minnows and chartreuse Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on live minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Proctor

Water stained; 65 degrees; 6.98′ low. Black bass are very good on chartreuse/black and chartreuse/blue soft plastic worms and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on minnows and silver spoons. White bass are good on minnows and jigging spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and green/white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are very good on stinkbait and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
