Cubs Basketball Struggle Against Snyder

brownwoodlionslogoWith basketball season in full swing, the Brownwood Middle School boys had a rough start with four of their teams facing Snyder on earlier in the week and losing all of the games.

The 8th grade boys “A” team dropped their game with a 23-40 final score.  Scorers for the game were Brian Johnson – 9 points, Dylan Lewis – 3 points, Elijah Salazar – 2 points, Matt Lewis – 2 points, Josh Soto – 2 points, Garrett Barnum – 2 points, Kyle Steele – 2 points, and Jared Crouch – 1 point.

It was a closer game with the 8th grade “B” team falling 21-22 against Snyder.  Colby Lohse was the leading scorer for the Cubs with 10 points followed by Morgan Lemmons – 4 points, Dylan Person – 3 points, Kye Healer – 2 points, and Justin Osteen – 2 points.

The 7th grade “A” team lost to Snyder 30-35.  Scorers were Eddie Duque – 10 points, Tyler Jackson – 8 points, Trent Carlton – 6 points, Matt Merket – 2 points, and Justin Gomez – 2 points.

7th grade “B” team fell 27-31 in their ball game.  Brownwood scoring players were Raislan Ibarr – 6 points, Kailin Young – 6 points, Joseph Myers – 4 points, Trevor King – 3 points,  Brian Makuta – 2 points, Daniel Zilinski – 2 points, and LJ Dotson – 1 point.
