Late Tuesday night Brownwood Police were called to an alley in the 1900 block of Vincent with a report of a suspicious vehicle parked there.

When police arrived and spoke with a male passenger, they detected the smell of burnt marijuana according to the police report.   Police found a baggie of what they believed to be marijuana in the man’s pocket along with unused rolling paper.

The man, identified as 21-year-old Joshua Michael Strasdin was arrested for possession of marijuana under 2 ounces.

In an unrelated incident early Tuesday morning, Brownwood Police officers were called to Southside Village Apartments regarding a fight in the parking lot.  As police arrived they saw a black passenger car leaving the area.  The police report states that one man on the scene reported that his arm was possibly broken from the altercation, but he did not want to press charges.  Guardian EMS was called.

Upon investigating, police learned that the car that fled had been driving recklessly in the parking lot, spinning the tires and doing donuts according to the report.

Police soon saw the vehicle pulling into a residence in the 2100 block of Southside Dr.  Police witnessed the car turn in to the driveway, hit a metal pole under the carport, and then back up and park.  Police stopped and indentified a 19-year-old male who was driving and a 19-year-old female passenger who both had been drinking according to police reports.

The driver was issued a citation for Minor DUI and no driver’s license.  The passenger was issued a citation for minor in possession.  Both were released to the passenger’s mother.
