Bowl For Kid’s Sake a Big Success

mainBig Brothers Big Sisters of Brown County’s Bowl For Kids Sake Event that was held on Saturday the 14th was a great success according to its Regional Executive Director Shane Blackshear.  He said that the event raised close to $9,000 to match children in Brown County with mentors.

Sponsors for the event included Avalon Custom Homes, LLC, Bruner Auto Group, Citizens National Bank, First National Bank of Baird, Landmark Life Insurance, Mills County State Bank, Texas Bank, Underwood’s Cafeteria, Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Dr. Comolli & Dr. Ethridge ODS, Heart of Texas Internal Medicine Associates PA, HI-Way Auto, INC., CiCi’s Pizza, and KOXE Radio.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the largest annual fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters, providing funds to offer positive mentoring relationships for kids in the community.  Activities at the event included 2 bowling sessions as well as a silent auction and raffle.

Donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters go directly to support children in the community.
