Graveside funeral services for Jesse Ray Allen, age 55, of Bangs, will be at 3:00 PM, Monday in the Bangs Cemetery with David Barnum officiating under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Mr. Allen died Friday, November 13, 2009 at his home.

Jesse was born on October 3, 1954 in Abilene to Floyd and Laverne Jennings.  He worked as a mechanic and was a member of Bangs First Baptist Church.  Jesse was also an avid fisherman.

Jesse is survived by his mothers, Jimmy Carol Troyer and Laverne Jennings, five sisters, Brenda Bartlett and husband Jerry of Abilene, Connie Geron and husband Jim, Ronda Mitchell and husband Kenneth, all of Bangs, Charlotte Ferguson, Sherry Gann and husband Larry of Abilene, Tom Troyer and wife Karen, Charles Troyer and wife Susan, Marvin Troyer and wife Lorrie, Cindy Massengale and husband Lynn, and Craig and Donna Miles.

He was preceded in death by his father Floyd Allen, Jr, a brother, Skipper Allen, and a sister Ginnie Meador.
