SoundofmusicarticlepicThe Early High School Concert Choir will be presenting Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music this weekend.

The Sound of Music features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and is based on the memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Many songs from the musical have become standards, including the title song “The Sound of Music”, “Edelweiss”, “My Favorite Things”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” and “Do-Re-Mi”.

The talented cast will blow the audience away with beautiful and witty renditions of all of the famous tunes.  They pull together a first class production.

Opening night will be Friday with the following schedule:

  • Friday, November 13th at 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 14th at 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 15th at 2:30 p.m.
  • Monday, November 16th at 7:30 p.m.

All shows will be performed in the Early High School Student Activity Center. Doors open 30 minutes before show times. THE SHOW ENTRANCE WILL BE ON THE FRONT SIDE OF EHS NEAR THE GYM.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Early High School main office and are $7.50 general admission. Tickets purchased at the door will be $10.00 per person.
