The 7th and 8th Grade “A” and “B” football teams faced off against Snyder on Tuesday winning 3 out of 4 games as they wrapped up their season.

The Cubs 8th grade “A” team saw the only loss with a 0-12 final score.  The coaches said that although they saw a loss, the team played their best game of the season by far, but lost to a talented Snyder team.

The 8th grade “B” team jumped out to a 16-0 lead as Snyder attempted to come back, but the Brownwood defense stopped them to preserve the win with a final score of 16-12.

Scoring plays included a two yard touchdown run by Matthew Lewis followed by a 2 point conversion pass from Lewis to Matthew Pickard.  Lewis also threw a 58 yard touchdown pass to Bryan Johnson with a 2 point conversion run by Lewis.

The 7th grade “A” team played their most complete game of the year as they ended their season with a 25-12 victory over Snyder.

Trenton Carlton caught a 12 yard touchdown pass from Edie Duque.  Duque scored with a 30 yard touchdown run with Joseph Meyers running in the extra 2 points.  Duque also made a 85 yard touchdown run.  Meyers topped it off with a 3 yard touchdown run and the 2 point conversion.

The 7th grade “B” team dominated from the start on defense and held Snyder scoreless while the Cubs rolled to a 14-0 victory.

Sean Ludlow made a 20 yard rushing touchdown with Jared Fulton running in the extra 2 points. Fulton also ran in a 3 yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter.
