Howard Payne University has kicked off its homecoming week with the announcement of its Homecoming Queen and Princess at their convocation Friday morning.
Homecoming princess nominees are Jeffri Malone, a junior, with a double major in cross cultural studies and spanish from Bonham, TX; Christina Todo, a junior, triple major in pre-law, business administration, and the Douglas McArthur Academy of Freedom from Little Elm, TX; and Sarah Pfiester, a junior, exercise sports science major from Carrollton, TX.
Homecoming queen nominees include Katie Curry, a senior, practical theology major from Farmington, NM; Jaleesa King, a senior, communication studies major from Duncanville, TX; and Miranda Cole, a senior, cross cultural studies major from Borger, TX.
Howard Payne senior Katie Curry was crowned Homecoming Queen by the previous Queen Kristen (Hoover) Rister. Junior Jeffri Malone was named Homecoming Princess at Friday’s convocation.
The Court will be featured in the Homecoming parade on Saturday, October 24, beginning at 10 a.m. and in the half-time show of the Homecoming football game versus Louisiana College at Gordon Wood Stadium at 2 p.m.
The student body selects the court each year by elections coordinated through the Student Government Association.
