Carol A. Williamson

Carol A. Williamson, age 65 of Brownwood passed away Monday October 19, 2009.  Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00PM Wednesday October 21, 2009 at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church; Pastor Tim Skaggs officiating. Visitation is set for Tuesday October 20, 2009 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 6-8PM.

Carol was born on June 24, 1944, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to Zeno and Irene Midgett, who precede her in death.  She graduated from Flat River High School, Flat River, Missouri.  She was a devoted member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood and was a former staff member at the church.  Carol served as a church musician for many years.  She was a member and past president of the Brownwood Garden Club.  Carol married Glen Williamson on August 23, 1978.  He precedes her in death.  She is survived by her children; Timothy A. Cantrell of Amarillo, Christopher L. Cantrell of Brownwood, Greg D. Cantrell of Brownwood, Glenn and Jeanette Williamson, Jr.; Deborah (Williamson) and Bill Scanlan,   her brother Donald E. Midgett and his wife Judy of Amarillo, four sisters; Barbara E. Gard of Palmetto, FL, Linda Bullington of Lawrenceville, GA, Jane Kocis of Colleyville, TX, and Judith Spears of New Castle, PA, her grandchildren; Emily, Celeste, Alex, and Justin Cantrell; Shy and Stewart Bigham, Shelly and Kevin Hardy, Trampas Belew, and James Scott, great-grandchildren; Sidney and Sutton Bigham; Kenly, Kylie and Karley Hardy; Bryce Belew, and Peyton and Brianna Scott, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss her.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Music Department, 1815 Coggin Avenue Brownwood, TX 76801.
