Brownwood High School and Middle School Cross Country teams participated in Zephyr’s Bulldog Cross Country Run on Wednesday and many Brownwood runners made a good showing.

On the Varsity Boys, Cameron McLaughlin pulled in a 3rd place finish overall with a time of 19:06.99 for the 3 mile run.  Jacob Moore came in 6th with a 19:59.21 and Jacob Salazar snagged 7th place with a      20:17.99 time.  Other varsity finishers were Quantez Johnson – 22:07.61 and Mathew Gonzales – 23:24.10.

The Lady Lions took 3rd place overall in the varsity girls division’s 2 mile run led by Amanda Gober  with 6th place with a time of 13:39.19.  Other runners were LoveLeigh Gonzales – 14:21.68, Aranda Salazar – 15:35.90,  Larisa Salazar – 15:52.14, and Addie Shipley – 15:58.21.

Josh Moore snagged the first place medal in the JV 3 mile run with a time of 17:55.  Colt Waddle took 3rd place with 19:35, Nathan Ross came in 5th with 26:14, and Dakota Palley snagged 7th place with 29:04.

JV Girl’s Trinity Ansons took first place in the 2 mile run with a time of 16:23.  Lexie Garrett took 10th with 17:24 and Aime Espinosa came in 11th at 17:51.  Other runners were Kinsey Johnson –  18:57, Katy Jacobs -19:27, Shelly Bible – 19:55, Krystal Hampton – 19:56, Patricia Wilson – 20:51, Neelie Carringer  – 23:17, Brittany Hannah – 23:17, Cassandra Mendez – 24:04,  Megan Joyner – 27:25, Casey Clements – 27:26, Dafina Hoti – 28:26, Ashley Barrsoto – 29:55, Tiara Brown – 30:26.

The Brownwood Middle School Boys made an impressive showing taking as the 1st place team and individual in the 2 mile run.  Josh Soto took first place with 12:48 followed by 5th place Dylan Person – 14:30, and 13th place Adam Tipton – 14:48.  Following was LJ Dotson – 15:27, Matthew Lewis – 15:33, Garrett Bynum – 15:45, and Zach Ramos – 16:00.
